Coach’s view

… dates and time intervals. While most of the rower’s functions are available to a coach, he/she has additional unique features to use.

One of the important functions available to coaches is the multi-day/week/month reservations capability. Rather than reserving one boat at a time, a coach can reserve portions of the fleet for an entire boat club program, class or workshop.

For example, to reserve boats, the coach may choose any boats from the club fleet, create a group and give it a name. Boat groups can contain anywhere from 1 to 32 boats. In our example, imagine there are various groups, “Sculling1Group”, “Sculling2Group”, etc. being run by the boat club. You’ll note that our coach has selected the boats needed for each program.

The iRowNow system allows the coach the flexibility to change the boats allocated to a program at any time and allows boats to be used by several programs (running at separate times, of course!)

As we continue the example, our coach may now select a time for the boat reservation group that he/she created. Our example class will run for 6 weeks, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday starting at 5:45AM and ending 7:30AM – and with a few clicks of the mouse, the coach creates this reservation. On the “RESERVE” screen, the coach will see the boat group that’s just been created. In the last column, a simple click of a button continues the reservation process.

…our coach makes one final review of the summary screen, clicks “Reserve” and the simple reservation process is complete!.

The system also will show our coach any conflicts in boat reservations or time scheduling. As you’ll note below, the iRowNow program clearly identifies where the conflicts are. Our coach can then work with other coaches or club management to resolve these conflicts BEFORE rowers show up for their lessons.
